El Diablo
El Diablo
One or two Diablos and you will certainly feel a bit of a devil, but one or many and you will feel like the very devil!
serves 1
6-8 cracked ice cubes 2-3 strips of lime peel l measure lime juice 3 measures white tequila 1 measure creme de cassis
Fill a small, chilled glass with cr ice cubes and add the lime peel.
Pour the lime juice over the ice and
add the tequila and creme de cassis.
Devilish drinks
Diablo:
put 4-6 cracked ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. Dash lemon juice over the ice and pour in 2 measures white port and 1 measure dry vermouth. Shake until a frost forms. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and decorate with a lemon peel twist.
Devil's Cocktail:
put 4-6 cracked ice cubes into a mixing glass. Dash lemon juice over the ice and pour in 2 measures ruby port and 1 measure dry vermouth. Stir well to mix and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Decorate with a lemon peel twist.
Black Devil:
put 4-6 cracked ice cubs into a mixing glass. Pour 2 measures white rum and '/2 measure dry vermouth over the ice and stir to mix. Strain into chilled cocktail glass and decorate with stoned black olive.
Blue Devil:
put 4-6 cracked ice cubes
into a cocktail shaker. Pour 2 measures
gin, 1/2 measure lime juice, 1 tablespoon
Maraschino and 1 teaspoon blue Curacao
over the ice. Shake vigorously until frost
forms. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass
Did you know?
Tequila is a secondary product of the agave plant, which was originally used to produce pulque, a fermented, milky liquor. Pulque is reputed to taste quite disgusting and, although it was popular with native Mexicans, Spanish colonists preferred to distill it to produce tequila.
