Jacobs Creek wines circled the world many times in the popularity, as well they should. Jacobs Creek have constantly pumped out quality wines but still able to maintain an affordable price.
Jacobs creek wines are made from a wide variety of grapes including chardonnay, riesling, shiraz and cabernet sauvignon grape varieties, it is for this reason that the wines from this winery embody the successes of Australian winemaking from the 80's and 90's.
During the wine boom of the 90s in australia, the area for planting these grapes greatly expanded to
underpin a massive increase in production and exports of
Australian wine.
The Australian wine production level has increased a lot, during 2003 a new
winery was opened at a rate of 3 times a week. A significant portion of these wineries were cultivating using many different varieties
both classic and alternative.
Like other new world wine makers, australia is less inhibited to following traditional vine growing that permeate the
European wine industry. Since the early 90s a strong urge for experimentation with different vines has permeated the wine
industry.
